For most people it’s another geopolitical story scrolling past their feed. For my family, it lands differently. 

My mother left Iran years ago and came to Canada to build a new life. But she left behind family, and the place that will always be her homeland. So when things unfold there, it isn’t abstract. It’s personal.

Moments like this have a way of recalibrating perspective. 

They remind you how fragile stability really is and how easy it is to get consumed by things that feel urgent but aren’t actually important.

Building businesses matters. Creating value matters. But none of it means much if the people you care about most are an afterthought.
