What My Wife Has Taught Me About High Performance

Most people think being a high-ticket closer, a top producer, or a high performer is about the grind.

The calls.
The deals.
The scoreboard.

But let me tell you something I’ve learned the hard way: none of it matters if you forget to honour the people who carry you through it.

A few weeks ago, it was my wife Kelsey’s birthday.
And instead of checking off another “to-do” on the business front, I did what mattered most.

I unplugged.
We went up into the mountains.
I took her for a spa day.
We ended the day with dinner, laughter, and time that was just about her.

Why?

Because behind every top producer is someone who sacrifices, supports, and shows up in ways the world never sees.

Our daughters, Lyla and Levi, get to watch their mom model true beauty. Not just in how physically radiant she is, but in how she deeply loves. That’s a gift no deal will ever give them.

See, in sales and in life it’s easy to chase numbers and forget the humans who make the climb possible. But if you want to build not just wealth, but a life worth living, you must celebrate those humans.

That’s Human-Centric Selling at its core. It’s not just how we treat clients, it’s how we treat the people closest to us. Because when they feel seen, we’re reminded what we’re really selling for: love, connection, and legacy.

So here’s my challenge to you:
Don’t just celebrate your next win. Celebrate the person who believed in you when you had nothing to celebrate.

Take them out.
Turn off the phone.
Let them feel the gratitude you carry but rarely say.

Because the truth is: success means nothing if you forget who you’re building it with.

To your relationships,
Kayvon
